The Rising (Students)
We are The Rising, the ones rising again.

The irreducible minimum of The Rising is: People Need Jesus!

As a part of Bethlehem Baptist Church we seek to Love God, Love Others, and Live the Word by creating relationships that fulfill the Great Commission and the Great Commandment.

In trying to accomplish these goals and live life together, we focus on three key verses:

Micah 7:8 ESV
Rejoice not over me, O my enemy; when I fall, I shall rise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD will be a light to me.

John 5:24 ESV
Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.

Proverbs 24:16 ESV
for the righteous falls seven times and rises again, but the wicked stumble in times of calamity.

Our hope is based on Jesus the Christ and even though our enemy would have us believe he has victory we believe that Christ conquered death through the Cross and Resurrection and won the victory. While in darkness Christ came as a light. Christ gives us new life and enables us to rise from death in our sin to life in newness of Christ. We are no longer in judgment, but are called to rise into a new life with Him and be a light in this dark world. We believe in repentance and perseverance. Because of our relationship with Jesus Christ, we are made righteous. As the righteous we are able to rise again through the work of God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. We are lied to when we are told we have fallen and are no longer worthy of the grace given to us. God's grace is sufficient and overwhelming and calling us back. Our ability played no role in our Salvation, it was God's love for us. His love sustains and helps us to get back up and persevere in Him. We remain righteous in our relationship with Jesus and that relationship calls us to rise again.

Sunday morning Bible Study: Meets at 10:00 am in which students will study the Word together.

The Rising: for students. Meets each Wednesday night in the Upper Room of the gym from 7pm-8pm. We have a small group discussion setting where we work through and discuss the Word of God. We learn through God's Word what it means to rise again and how we live together as members of the body of Christ.

We are The Rising, the ones rising again.
